There is now a whole new module for CMS Made Simple called AustraliaPost developed by Clip Magic to integrate with the Orders module as an alternative to the Flat Rate and Destination Based Shipping modules.

How do I use it?

In summary, in the Admin section of the AustraliaPost module, you simply enter three parameters:

1. You nominate your nation-wide carrier, eg Australia Post Parcel Post
2. You nominate your international carrier, eg Australia Post Air Freight
3. You may nominate an optional handling fee that will be applied to all orders

You may then choose two of the listed shipping methods - one local, one international (keeps it simple)!

Other shipping methods besides Australia Post, can be added DIY or engage Clip Magic to add them for you.

The module then calculates the freight amount accordingly, including zone and weight charges based on your lodgement zone, ie postcode/country and preferred shipping method.

In cases where your chosen carrier doesnt ship to a location or the order exceeds the maximum weight allowed, a comment saying so with a note that you will contact them to arrange an alternate shipping method is displayed on the bottom of the invoice.

What's in it?

All of the data for Australia Post parcel shipments are there, including over 16,000 Australian postcodes, 100's of zones and weight charges, and the following shipping methods:

• Australia Post Parcel Post
• Australia Post Express Parcel Post
• Australia Post International Air Freight
• Australia Post International Sea Freight
• Australia Post Express Courier International

Prerequisites

This module is designed to run on the latest version of CMS Made Simple, ie v1.6.1.

As with all CMSMS licensing, the software itself is free.
